I am a first grade teacher at Arbor Heights Elementary School in Seattle, Washington. This is my first year as a teacher at Arbor Heights but I am not new to the community. I have lived in AH for 28 years. My two sons went to AH from Kindergarten to 5th grade. For six of the seven years my sons were students at AH I volunteered building-wide. For the seventh year I was a guest teacher. Then I was hired to teach full time at Maple Elementary School where I worked for 15 years. So you might say I am coming home!
I am spending the summer getting the classroom (room 16) ready for the first day of school. If you see the door open feel free to stop by and say hello. Be warned, I might put you to work. Look on this webpage for volunteer opportunities. I plan to have a box in the classroom so parents can pop in and help out.
